THE HARE - Aesop's Bestiary, wall art
Ceramic tile made of porcelain clay with light grey and gold detail, framed.
Aesop's Bestiary is a collection of ceramic wall art that celebrates Characters of Aesop's Fables' The Fox, The Hare and The Deer. Under the animal disguise he wittingly portrayed many attributes of us humans.
Aesop was an ancient story-teller living in 5th century BC Greece. He was a keen observer and throughout his life created hundreds of short fables where he cleverly entwined natural qualities of animals with human characteristics, emotions and tendencies. The fables, passed through centuries by word of mouth, still present some timeless moral and ethical dilemmas.
They are recognised throughout cultures and absorbed into the everyday colloquial language and understanding of things.
Tiles are framed in wooden frames, locally made in Dublin. The artwork is signed and tiles are mounted onto the glass surface. Two frame sizes and three animal designs available. Tiles also come in terracotta clay finish in white frames.
All these options are listed in our 'wall art' collection. https://karoart.eu/collections/wall-art
