POOLBEG LIGHTHOUSE bowl

€36.50

Poolbeg Lighthouse at the end of Great South Wall that embraces Dublin Bay is a well recognisable landmark in the Dublin skyline.

The bowls are made of snow-white ‘glacier porcelain’. Thy are lovely to touch, with shiny smooth inside and slightly textured outer walls. They are light and translucent when held against the light.

suggested use:

The bowls are food-safe and can hold fruit and nibbles, or if you're brave enough you can pool the chimneys with a soup and let it them emerge when the soup-tide lowers.
Perfect keepsake gift for tourists and Dubliners alike.

The process of making each bowl involves slip-casting the simple bowl shape into a plaster mould, colouring the inside of the dish, smoothing the outside and finishing the edges and adding a Poolbeg sculpture. The bowls are double fired in the kiln in order to apply layers of colour and glaze.
