Soup- Size Relief Bowls, Grey, Various Designs
These beautiful bowls are made of strong stoneware clay and will last a test of time. They are sturdy pieces that will be passed on through generations.
Bowls are made in very small batches of a particular colour; please, grab what you like while it's available as I will be changing the colour finishes throughout the year but once gone, I will not be accepting custom orders for particular colour finishes.
The clay is stained in our studio to apply a custom background colour, warm grey, to the clay body. The colour shows both on the inside and outside of the piece. They are decorated with a relief pattern, applied with carved texture rollers of my own design and making. Light layer of porcelain white wash is applied to accentuate the relief detail. Each piece is fully glazed on the inside and outside on the upright wall; the rounded base is left unglazed, therefore slightly lighter in colour and of a slightly rougher texture.

Note that each bowl is hand built and hand decorated- the design changes along the wall but repeats are possible, there is one, slightly visible seam on the wall surface, bowls aren't perfectly round, and the whitewash intensity may differ slightly.
