These mugs are made of strong stoneware clay and will last a test of time.
Cups are made of clay that is stained in our studio to apply a custom background colour, warm grey, to the clay body that shows both on the inside and outside of the piece. They are decorated with a relief pattern, applied with carved texture rollers of my own design and making. Light layer of porcelain white wash is applied to accentuate the relief detail. Each piece is fully glazed on the inside and outside (except the base).
Cups are made in very small batches of a particular colour; please, grab what you like while it's available as I will be changing the colour finishes throughout the year but once gone, I will not be accepting custom orders for particular colour finishes.

Note that each cup is hand built and hand decorated- the design changes along the wall but each cup will have a running and a sitting version of an animal on each side.
Cups come with nicely rounded large handles. They aren't perfectly round, and the whitewash intensity may differ slightly.
