Happy Swimmers, Black & White Stoneware Relief Mug

Stoneware mug with the design of enthusiastic sea-swimmers, a ferry, and a setting sun.

Each cup is made of black stained clay- because the colour is in the body of clay, it shows both on the inside and outside of the piece. 

The relief pattern, applied with my own carved texture rollers, is painted with white and coloured porcelain to enhance the design detail.  

Cups are glazed in and out, except for the base; they are hand built and all slightly off-shape.

Dishwasher and microwave safe.
