This course runs on weekly bases for 6 consecutive weeks.
The course suits both beginners and intermediate level students.
We will be working with hand-building techniques and will teach you how to decorate your work with coloured slips.
During the first class we will present techniques to assemble your pots and we'll show you a few surface decoration ideas; please make sure you arrive on time, especially to the first class in the series.
After that you will be encouraged come up with your own project and we will provide you with help, advice and as much guidance or freedom in making as you require. You may want to look through some magazines, pinterest to get ideas of shapes and patterns you'd like to achieve to discuss with the teacher.
Throughout the course you will be presented you with techniques of working with clay, explain the basics about the material and the process, advised on what to look out for and what to avoid.
This 6 week course can be taken as a one-off clay adventure or as part of the continuous pottery skill building approach.
Please send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org if you're interested in upcoming course dates beyond what's listed on the website at the moment and we will put your name down on waiting list.
At the end of the course you will have a number of pieces made; all of them will then be fired and glazed in our workshop, ready for collection few weeks later.
