Saturday Afternoon 25th January, 2-5pm
During this 3hrs class, you will learn how to coil a pot. Coiling is the oldest of methods of working with clay. It is slow, and meditative and requires patience. It is super tactile and satisfying and gives a lot of freedom in hand building.
If you'd like to give it a try, this class is for you. You'll also be able to paint your pot during the class.
We'll start with 20mins presentation; the rest of the time is yours to get creative and enjoy the making and decorating process.
All pieces will be dried, fired and glazed afterwards, and ready for collection within 4-6 weeks.
The class is suitable for all level students- from complete beginners upwards. It is a great way to experience the pleasures of working with clay, spend time relaxing and focusing on one very much 'hands-on' task.
Photos show beautiful examples of student's work from previous courses.
